A lot of making and of experience has gone to bring Mark Sheridan to the top-of-the-tree-position-as-a-comedian which he occupies to-day. He did not tumble into it accidentally. Nobody ever does really tumble into success. Plenty of people would like to think that they could, but they shirk or are ignorant of the trying long years of hard work, beginning at small things and working up bit by bit, that added to innate capacity ultimately bring the successful to any position of eminence that they happen to occupy. April 13, 1895 West London Theatre ( Church Street, Edgware Road ) M ark Sheridan appearing ( I made a photocopy of this page ) The extract from this many names. April 27, 1895 Mark Sheridan is at the South London Palace ( London Road,S.E ) April 27, 1895 Mark is also at the Parthenon (Near Greenwich ? ) : “ Other interesting items...the humorous ventures of Mr. Mark Sheridan . ” May 4, 1985 issue lists Mark at the South London Palace May 11, 1895 Under “ Music Halls “ Queen’s ( Poplar ) - Mr. Mark Sheridan is not a comedian in whom, perhaps, too much refinement lurks, but his numbers, “ The New Woman, ” “ At the Football Match, ” and “ Your Dear Husband,” are well received. June 1, 1895 I could not find mention of Mark under Whitsun Attractions- out of London?
